A broad vocabulary is fundamental to achieving fluency in any language. Focusing on digital communication, social media, traveling in China, and Chinese cuisine, the currently uploaded content is the beginning of a comprehensive series designed to provide students with a well-chosen repertoire of over 20,000 Chinese words.
We have divided these words into three levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. This structured approach allows students to build their vocabulary gradually and tailor their study plan to their individual goals and pace.
Because consistency is key to language learning, we recommend a minimum of five study sessions per week. Ideally, you should start with 20 to 25 new words per day and adjust the number as needed to meet your personal learning goals. In addition, we recommend repeating these words several times at gradually increasing intervals – after one day, then three, six, and ten days – to strengthen retention and memory.
Our online resource, 2049Chinese.com, offers free audio recordings of all the listed words and phrases to help with pronunciation and retention.
